Nancy Tao – PR Strategist
A veteran marketing, public relations and communications professional, Nancy’s approach with client interests is to demonstrate how marketing and the value of public relations can directly support a company’s big picture business objectives, including revenue targets and growth opportunities. Objective-based planning and client-centric strategies are the cornerstone of her successful campaigns.
A career public relations professional, she launched her career at Fleishman-Hillard in the headquarter offices located in her hometown of St. Louis, Mo. She soon found herself being recruited south to Atlanta as the first special events program manager hired by the Atlanta Olympic Organizing Committee.
She returned to her PR roots post-Olympics to join Manning, Selvage & Lee (the MS&L Group) as a senior account supervisor during the dot.com boom and established a niche in consumer PR. From there, she started her own company and has represented local and global brands, including Coca-Cola, Taco Bell, Whole Foods Market and non-profit organizations, including the YWCA, Atlanta Preservation Center and Swim Across America.
In 2008 she took a leap of faith and moved her family to Beijing, China where she was hired as Marketing Vice President to oversee the capital city’s first sponsorship and naming rights deal of a public venue – MasterCard Center – an 18,000-seat multipurpose entertainment and sports venue. Since then, she has provided PR services to a number of small and enterprise-sized businesses.
