Courtney Guidy, a senior at Auburn University, recently joined the Alpine Communications team as a summer intern.
Guidy is a rising senior at Auburn University, majoring in public relations with a minor in marketing. She currently works with the Auburn University Athletic Department as a Student Intern and a Tiger Engagement Assistance Member, where she serves as an assistant to the Event Coordinator and helps oversee all athletic events. She plays a monumental role in fan engagement and serves as a hostess during athletic events.
When asked why she wanted to intern with Alpine, she said, “I wanted a hands- on internship where I could gain real-world experience and expand my knowledge in the public relations field.” She plans on helping with writing press releases, building media lists and developing PR campaigns.
Guidy is involved in several different organizations at Auburn University, including The National Society of Leadership and Success, Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Auburn Student Government Association and Auburn Active Minds. She loves the public relations field because, “it allows companies to show their own personality in order to reach target audiences.”
Wendy Alpine, president of Alpine Communications, a leading public relations firm in Atlanta, said, “We are excited to have Courtney join our PR team. We love working with college students like Courtney who bring fresh ideas to help increase visibility for our clients.”
